5 Exercise Tips for Your Success

Here's a few basic exercise tips that fitness newbies should keep in mind. These will not only help you get started but also keep you on the path to fitness success once you're walking.

1. Follow a strict exercise routine. Know what you're going to do, how many reps, and how long you're going to exercise before you even step in the gym. Following a tight plan is the only way to exercise success, all of the celebrities do it as well as any professional fitness trainer or bodybuilder.

2. Set realisticly reachable goals. Don't try and change everything at once or you'll burn yourself out. Just take your workout program one step at a time, the easier on you the better. What you should really focus on when you're first getting started is to build and foster a habit. You want to make your new exercise program a routine that you won't break so you can get the benefits of working out weekly year in and year out.

3. Take advantage of the buddy system. Get a friend or relative involved who also wants to start on the journey to a healthier lifestyle. Encourage each other and exercise together, it's a lot easier to keep your motivation going when you have someone else there to push you along.

4. Remember to maintain a balanced diet. The wrong diet can completely negate any exercise you do during the week and a balanced diet and compliment what you do, so be sure to keep what you eat under control. Of course it probably goes without saying, avoid eating at fast food places like Burger King and McDonalds as the food these places serve is just poison for a healthy body.

5. Home workouts vs going to the gym. If you're a pretty busy person, maybe you're a mom with a bunch of kids to look after or you're a businessman on a tight schedule then working out at your home might be the best option for you. The only downside to this is the investment required to get an adequate home gym started. A beginning Bowflex home gym machine will run at about 600 bucks and this is just the starter model. On the other hand if you can commit to a gym membership you might like going to your local gym instead. Not only do they have all the machines there to make it happen but I would also recommend getting signed up with one of their weekly workout programs if you can.

I hope these tips will enable you to keep on the path to the balanced and healthy lifestyle you've always dreamed about. Take each of these tips to heart because they can help you a lot!
