Yesterday I did my first reformer one-on-one Pilates session.  Although I was skeptical of it at first, I really did enjoy it.  I think Pilates is a good method of progressing through ranges of motion.  As MAT specialist, I hate forcing body into ranges of motion (ie passive stretching).  However, the Pilates instructor was very careful at PROGRESSING.  I have explained to her that I will only do things that my body is comfortable with (I am not very flexible).  She agreed.  As I performed each exercise I moved farther and farther into each range of motion, and as a result I felt looser after the session.  This was exactly what I was looking forward to.
