It's another holiday weekend and all the temptations that go with Memorial Day feasts. Here are some tips to allow you to have fun but still eat healthy:

Portions rule! You can use the 80% rule and combine it with the portions rule and come out with a good health score.

Eating healthy 80% of the time usually adds up to a successful diet. Trying to be perfect is generally a set up for failure.

Using good portions and not going for "seconds" is the best plan.

A portion is generally a fist size. Nuts and seeds are the base of your palm not a hand full.

With that information you should be able to face any holiday meal with confidence.
