Hi, Ive also been considering modifing a Sony ECM-HGZ1 to be able to connect a Audio Technica Wireless mic through AIS to record on my Sony DV90. After closer inspection and a local visit to Radio dv90 Shack, I came across an ideal place for a couple.5mm jack being mounted in the Microphone, within the shoe housing. These conductor/Closed Circuit 2.5mm fits perfect just above the swivel with the shoe. After careful drilling and precision fitting I used to be able to adapt the shoe to having a 2.5mm Female socket. Effortlessly wires solidered I'm now onto how you can wire in the closed circuit around the PCB board that resides after the Mic Boom. I know that Michael claimed that he had dones this, However I've noticed that he hasnt replied to any bodies requests for additional information, additionally his email bounces back. has Anyone successfully traced the PCB with this board and where better to solider a Stereo Closed circuit socket to the board? I'm able to send someone a copy of your JPG from the board if they're willing to trace for me personally? I will be taking images of each and every step of the project onces complete is likely to make one of the most functional, complete and mod to a sony mic. Regards Marc
