I heard this story last week and was going to write about it, but then, I got busy and it slipped my mind for a couple of days. I was looking for something else entirely on the internet, when it popped up again. I thought I had better write about it, while it was fresh in my mind. Almost everyone I know has an airline story about sitting next to a "Lardassian," a turn of phrase coined by a friend of mine called The Big Kahuna. He travels quite a lot and has had a number of instances where the spillover has been quite unpleasant.
If you're a television watcher, you know that you are going to see at least a half dozen commercials every night, selling drugs to deal with depression. In one two-hour segment last week, I counted seven spots for depression, five for ED and two for arthritis. In most cases, there's a lot of blue sky being sold.
I had to field a few line drives to the hot corner (third base) yesterday, after I wrote about Michelle Obama’s plan to end childhood obesity, to which she no doubt knows the answer, since she’s an attorney, hospital administrator and spokesperson. And of course, there is that all important Task Force, waiting to be appointed by the President.

The Obama Weight Loss Program

I was up early this morning, watching one of the early morning talk fests and Michelle Obama was being glorified (I mean interviewed), by what’s her name… Robin Roberts, who cooed and gushed at everything coming out of Michelle’s mouth.

How Much Coffee Is Too Much

Today, I thought I'd talk a bit about something Americans hold near and dear, and it isn't Obama, death, or taxes. I thought I'd write about this because of something someone told me yesterday, about someone I know pretty well, who is having a bit of a rough time communicating with his staff, particularly as it gets later in the day.
A report crossed my desk this morning from some professors at Purdue that backs up something I heard on PBS about a month ago, and had forgotten about. I wanted to write about it then, but something else came up and was committed to paper instead. What the two gents from Purdue found was that artificial sweeteners, (Aspartame, Splenda, Sweet and Low, and others), block your body's defense system against obesity. The more artificial sweetener you consume, the fatter you'll get.
I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. I know mine was good. When I take a vacation, I take a vacation from everything. My diet and training routine don’t ever come into my mind. But after the vacation, it is always extremely hard to get back into the rhythm.
THE “D” WORD! I'm talking about DIET!....What I'm not talking about is something that “you go on”. It's something that you “live with”.When I use the word DIET, I mean the way you eat....What you normally eat is “Your Diet”.
I am sure you own heard previously that your post - workout meal is actually the most important meal of your day ( aside from breakfast of course ) I would have to agree with that assertion for the most part through refueling your body with the right fluctuation of nutrients is so vastly important to repairing your muscles from the breakdown of a workout, and keeping your metabolic rate sky high
